Good health is essential for the survival and economic self-sufficiency of individuals and their communities. On knowing the significance of health, Rehab India Foundation organizes “Free Medical Campaigns” for the poor and impoverished people of several villages in our country. Generally large segments of India’s urban slum and rural tribal populations do not have access to safe and reliable healthcare.
Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care. Access to health care and equitable distribution of health services are the fundamental requirements. Many backward and remote areas in our country lack basic health care infrastructure limiting access to health services at present. A large number of people in rural areas are unable to seek medical help due to variety of economic and social problems. “The groundwork of all happiness is good health”.
